The Engineer's Hut
The Stratford Community Association received funding for a co-location working space and is piloting the concept. All things going well, a permanent establishment will be sourced so residents of Stratford can utilise a space where they can bring their business ideas to life, or simply to meet with others.
The Engineer's Hut has a series of hot desks 'Romeo', 'Juliet', 'Macbeth' and 'Lady Macbeth' and a small meeting table.
Close to main street, the space offers you the ability to work individually or with others in a quiet room.

What are the booking times?
Booking windows are: 7am - 12 noon / 12 noon - 5pm / 5pm - 10pm.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?
Flat fee of $10 per desk, per booking window (e.g. $10 for whole booking window regardless of time spent).
Flat fee of $20 per booking window if you'd like to book the whole Hut).

You will receive an email with payment and your booking information (how to access the building, etc) after you've submitted your booking request (above).

Do I have to stay for the whole time that I book?
No! You have access to the desk or space for the whole time, but you don't have to stay the whole time. We have set the bookings up in 5 hour blocks and for a flat fee for ease of use and management.

What about accessibility?
There are two small steps to enter the Engineer's Hut. The first step is at the porch area, and the next step is up through the door.

What's supplied?
There is a desk lamp and an ergonomic chair for each desk space. There are two power points available for each desk.

Do you have wifi?
Yes, there is high speed wifi available at the Engineer's Hut. You will receive the wifi password when you make your booking.

Are there tea or coffee making facilities?
No, we don't provide tea or coffee, so take the opportunity to stretch your legs and walk to a local cafe or coffee shop - support local!

Are there toilets?
No, there aren't toilets at the site. The Stratford Memorial Park on the main street has public toilets available.

Is there parking?
Yes! There are multiple parking spaces directly outside the Engineer's Hut. There is further parking at the Stratford Train Station, one minute walk from the Hut.

Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, you can cancel your booking if something else comes up. Please email stratfordcommunityassociation@gmail.com.

Bookings are $10 per 5 hour for a single desk, or $20 per 5 hour session for the whole Hut.
